Hotels

Halesford Harbour Inn ($99-$369 per night) A waterfront Inn, located conveniently near Bridgewater Plaza and Marina, and Hales Ford Bridge. You can rent rooms, or even an entire cabin for your family. Pet friendly rooms available.
Gills Creek Marina and Lodge ($129-$149 per night ) A small, charming waterfront lodge located at a marina. A central lake location makes it easily accessible by both car and boat.

Campgrounds

Arrowhead Campground ($20-$40 per night) A waterfront campground open all year, this campground in Penhook gets great reviews and has reasonable rates.
Blue Ridge Campground and Marina ($35 per night) A waterfront campground, open April 1 - October 31. Hot showers, laundry facilities, and LP gas available.
Eagle's Roost Campground (call for rates) A waterfront campground centrally located on the lake, with a beach, boat slips, and laundry facilities.
Smith Mountain Lake State Park ($20-$30 per night) Camping sites and cabin rentals; reserve cabins early as they go fast! Cabins are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Renting a House or Condo

The easiest way to rent a Smith Mountain Lake home or condo is to visit one of the websites below, where owners rent directly to lake visitors. Although there are rental management companies with homes available, those properties typically cost more to rent due to the management fees charged to the owners (as high as 22% of rental income), and the selection will be relatively minimal.
